water

October 3, 2008

From my journal-
We went to a barn for a Jason Upton concert.

During which I wrote the following:
I walked towards the water, there was a small boat dock, Jesus was in the water up to his knees in the water. His robe was wet up to his knee, it switched from red to purple to blue. As I went into the water we walked away from the shore. As we walked out we remained knee deep in the water until we could no longer see the shore. I asked him, “why are we walking at knee level and not on top of the water?” He said, “because I can.”
We dove under the water which became very blue, we swam like fish not coming up for air.

Back to present.

I’ve been fiddling around waiting for circumstances to change and things always seem to stay the same. Then I remembered the above journal entry.

Seems I have been walking along, getting wet but staying safe. God has let me.
I want to dive in deeper but afraid if I do I will drown.

Stupid safety concerns.

Hebrews 13:5 Let your character or moral disposition be free from love of money [including greed, avarice, lust, and craving for earthly possessions] and be satisfied with your present [circumstances and with what you have]; for He [God] Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. [I will] not, [I will] not, [I will] not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let [you] down (relax My hold on you)! [Assuredly not!]
